Synopsis
Also known as Youshi A twenty-year-old modern woman is born into a poorly adapted, unfinished matriarchal novel. The good news: she becomes Li You, the crown prince with the protagonist’s halo. The bad news: in this rewritten version, she’s the crown prince who loses her country and family, and dies. The System provides only two pieces of information: 1. Someone close to you will betray you, and you will die a miserable death in the palace. 2. I won’t appear until the main storyline begins. Then it runs off, leaving newborn Li You trembling in the emperor’s arms and crying without end. When Li You turns twelve, the emperor holds a birthday banquet for her. Four sons from prominent noble families are invited to the palace, where they remain as the crown prince’s study companions... That same day, Li You saves a young man, who vows to serve her until death. That night, the System gives her a warning: The people who will kill you in the future have appeared. If anyone’s corruption level exceeds one hundred, the guaranteed-death storyline will be triggered. Li You realizes with a start that they’re the five people she met today. I don’t want any of them! System: Mandatory warning. All five people from the original storyline must enter your harem. Deviating from the main plot may cause you to die early. Li You: Fine, fine, I’ll win them all over, okay? TAT Until Li You starts a family at eighteen, she has to play peacemaker and keep their corruption levels under control. As she grows into her role as crown prince, she begins to realize that perhaps the oppression of power is what causes people to turn evil. So she starts trying to reform things, hoping to break the deadlock at its root... 【Notes and Content Warnings】 (I’m a total beginner, and my thoughts tend to jump around. Criticism and corrections are welcome.) 1. Female lead is not a virgin, male leads are. One woman with multiple men, with Xiao Heng as the primary male lead and four other romantic storylines. 2. This is a fictional matriarchal setting. Women remain in power and govern the country, while men’s rights are gradually elevated so they are treated as people rather than possessions. This is not a traditional harem-style matriarchal novel; it will explore equality. 3. Women with typical female biology hold higher status. Women’s body types are diverse, and the story supports diverse standards of attraction in women’s choice of partners. The current ideal for men is broad shoulders, narrow waists, and lean muscles. The standard height for a popular man is between five chi, six cun and five chi, eight cun. (Note: One chi is defined as 32 cm, so this is about 176–185 cm.) 4. Women give birth to girls, men give birth to boys. There is a separate system for childbirth: women give birth to the embryo, which the man then carries for ten months before it is born, and the sex is known in advance. 5. In the early part of the story, the female lead focuses on family bonds and personal growth. The romantic storylines gradually begin after the male lead turns eighteen. Theme: Oppression is the root of resistance. Those truly in power have nothing to fear from fair competition. Gender equality, breaking free of gender restrictions.
