Two young people, each stuck at a crossroads in life, meet by chance in an old-fashioned dessert shop tucked away in a narrow alley.
Shen Yan, a comic artist whose serial was canceled before his dream could come true, seeks refuge in the little shop, carrying the weight of defeat. Wen Zhiyu has hit one dead end after another while looking for a job after graduation, and struggles to find her way forward amid family pressure and self-doubt.
On afternoons filled with drifting flour, and over old sketches spread out after closing time, they share their vulnerabilities and enjoy a period of unhurried, genuine companionship.
Beneath the tenderness wrapped in candy paper, charcoal has quietly etched a crack that neither of them has noticed yet.
As the comic slowly unfolds, the secrets hidden behind the pages will one day have to face the weight of the truth.
Theme: When ideals collide with reality, how do we choose our way forward through life's uncertain journey?
