1. The setting is modeled on the Qing dynasty, but the characters are entirely fictional. I'm not writing about the Qing dynasty because its complicated historical background is beyond me. The political intrigue will be glossed over, so please don't overthink it.
2. A lighthearted story. The heroine won't be conquering everyone, but I'm very fond of her, and she'll have a good life.
Theme: If freedom is at stake, either can be cast aside.
