On the second day after arriving in Nyon, Chang Xia's wallet was stolen.
Sitting in a bistro on the shores of Lake Geneva, Chang Xia was about to pay the bill. After searching for a long time, she realized that her wallet was lost. Two glasses of white wine, a plate of cheese slices plus service charge, a total of twenty-five Swiss francs.
His face turned red, whether from embarrassment or alcohol.
Suddenly a hand stretched out from behind and paid for him.
Chang Xia turned her head and saw the man's lake-blue eyes first, and then his chestnut hair.
Chang Xia quickly thanked him and asked for his contact information, thinking that she would return the money to him as soon as possible.
After leaving the tavern, the rain fell by the lake without warning. Chang Xia, who was a backpacker for the first time, hurriedly looked for an umbrella. The wide black umbrella just covered the top of his head.
He looked up and found that it was the man who paid for him just now.
"Thank you, sir."
Chang Xia took out her umbrella and said in English that she was going to a nearby bank to withdraw money.
Severin looked at Chang Xia's wet clothes and glanced at his huge backpack: "Traveling alone? Why not travel together?"
This is how a short journey together begins.
But the encounter is like a sudden rain on the lake, it comes warmly, but it will eventually return to the flowing water.
"The world's waters will meet again, the Arctic Ocean and the Nile will mingle in wet clouds. This ancient and beautiful metaphor makes this moment sacred, and even as we wander, every road leads us home."
