Grandma lives on the top of the mountain.
Behind the house are patches of green bamboo forest, and beside the house are terraced fields stretching down the mountain. In front of the house is a stone dam. In front of the dam, there used to be a wasteland, but now it is a flower garden.
The flower garden was plowed by my grandma's second son. He planted wild gardenias from the mountains beside the road, placed wild osmanthus in the center, and supplemented it with roses, cacti, dieffenbachia, and a continuous patchwork of pole flowers and white onion orchids, forming a flower bed that is fragrant all year round. In order to make the family happy, he also planted cherries on the side.
At that time, he was still young and had plenty of strength. While others were busy doing farm work, he could still take care of the flowers and plants. Grandma is also restless. She always likes to go to the lotus pond to carry water to water the flower beds in the evening, following the light and shadow of the setting sun being slightly cut by the bamboo.
The shoulder pole is long and the back is getting longer. The little granddaughter chased after her and stepped on the shadows. The one leading the way was a yellow dog. It would walk in front with its tail raised and its head held high. Once it met any talkative neighbor, it would bark unceremoniously.
