In the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Yongle died violently during his northern campaign, and his edict was usurped. The third son Zhu Gaosui (King Zhao) launched a coup, imprisoned the crown prince Zhu Gaochi, and took control of the capital. But the Shen family, a wealthy businessman in the south of the Yangtze River, holds a secret edict from the late emperor, which is enough to overturn the orthodoxy of the new emperor. A battle over secret edicts started on both sides of the canal.
