Synopsis
Souvenir, formerly known as Memorial, is a second-year transfer student at Candy Elementary School. He is a handsome little fat guy, outgoing and social, with a big brain. He loves to eat and is obsessed with assembling and designing toys. He has a serious attitude towards studying, but his grades are mediocre. He renamed himself "Souvenir" and hoped that he would be as precious as the anniversary-limited "souvenir" from his father's company. He always wanted to design powerful toys and beat his genius sister Ji Ling, and dreamed of building an exclusive toy kingdom. Ji Ling is Souvenir's older sister, a gifted "other people's kid" with top grades, capable of painting and singing. After finishing her homework at school, she goes home to read and explore freely. Gentle and excellent, but occasionally unable to get souvenirs due to competition, the two siblings fall in love and kill each other. Dad Ji is a toy dealer with a gentle personality and loves to explore with his children. He often travels on business and his memory is always "off". He often misremembers the siblings' homework, activities, small appointments, and even their ages and grades, which makes a lot of jokes. My mother, Liu Shuyin, is an anchor who brings goods. She speaks very fast and enthusiastically during the live broadcast. She doesn't like to talk at home and is used to short, command-like sentences. She is privately called the "ruthless giving orders robot" by Souvenir. She looks strong and loves her two children in her heart. She also agreed to let Souvenir change her name on her own. My grandfather is the director of the Museum of Natural History. He is knowledgeable and easy-going and loves square dancing. During the holidays, he would take the siblings to the museum and show them fossils, antiquities, and ecological specimens. He was a key figure in inspiring the creation of souvenir toys. (Written on August 24, 2016, scheduled for September 1, 2026) The following is the synopsis of the story: Part One: My Name is Souvenir (Campus + Family Hilarious Beginning) •Introduce yourself when you transfer to another school (revealing the origin of the name and the relationship between the characters) The approximate plot of the opening chapter: On the first day of Souvenir's transfer to another school, the teacher asked him to introduce himself. Souvenir revealed the origin of his name. It turned out that he chose the name himself. He was originally called Jiujiang, but when he grew up, he disliked his mother for having a bad name. Jiujiu was named by my parents at home and by the teacher at school. It was all because of the bad name my mother gave me. My sister's name is Ji Ling. Look at how smart and partial she is! In order to prove her equality and democracy, my mother agreed to commemorate the name change request and promised that he would decide his new name by himself. Jiujiang decided to give himself a name that sounded like he knew that this person was very precious and valuable. He looked through the dictionary for thirty-seven and twenty-one days and changed seventy-seven and forty-nine plans, but he was not satisfied with them all. Until his father, who runs a toy company, got back a set of beautiful badges from the company. Jiujiu learned that this was the toy company's new 10th anniversary souvenir. It was very precious and you had to be a super vvvip to get it in a lottery. Memento's eyes lit up: Souvenir, I decided, I will call it Souvenir from now on! My mother's live broadcast opening remarks that day: "Today our mythical beast has been renamed, souvenir. Yes, it's the limited edition that you can't draw. My son is more valuable than that thing now." •Social gangsters are online (to deepen friendship and highlight character characteristics) •Daily oolongs at home and school (can be interspersed): Dad who loses his memory, mother who gives orders, grandpa who dances in the square... For example, dad misremembers the time of the souvenir toy launch event and causes an oolong. •Ji Ling got perfect marks again in the monthly exam, her composition was recited by the whole school, and her painting was posted on the C position of the honor wall. Souvenir's test paper (68 points) was judged by her mother with "short sentences": "Analysis." "Reflection." "Correction three times." This caused strong dissatisfaction with Souvenir. •My sister helps her father design toys, which triggers a little competition between siblings (provoking conflicts again) Part 2: The daily life of a toy designer • Researching new toys for souvenirs causes a series of troubles and jokes, such as breaking dad's collectible toys, interfering with mom's live broadcast, etc. • Souvenir brought a homemade half-finished toy to school for research, but was misunderstood by the teacher, triggering a series of stories. • Use snacks to exchange assembly ideas with your friends and create fun snack food adventures • Dad brings back new samples from a business trip, and the siblings try them out together, occasionally bickering and sometimes collaborating; • Mom's live broadcast is so busy that she arranges housework and reading tasks briefly when she returns home. Souvenir and Ji Ling help each other and occasionally "join forces to resist" mom's short instructions; • Final exam, souvenir. I still worked hard but didn't get good marks. I was temporarily disappointed and wondered if I was really nothing compared to my sister. Part Three: Adventures in the Museum (Turning Point in the Story) •Grandpa took the siblings to the Museum of Natural History during the holidays and started a series of short stories in the museum •Grandpa took them to observe paleontological fossils, ancestor artifacts, animal and plant ecological exhibition areas, and taught them about ancient creatures and the symbiosis between humans and nature. •The souvenirs are just a "casual stroll" mentality, and I am gradually attracted by fossils, ancient patterns, and ecological chains, and new toy inspiration comes to my mind - no longer just competing for good looks and coolness, I want to make assembled toys related to natural ecology/ancient culture. •He began to draw sketches in his notebook: assembled models that could be spliced, simulated as a habitat of ancient creatures, or reproduced as ancient artifacts. While drawing, he asked his grandfather for details. •Ji Ling saw that his younger brother was carefully designing the sketch, and he did not look down upon him. Instead, he took the initiative to help him beautify the lines of the sketch. It was rare for the siblings to put aside their competition and cooperate tacitly. Part 4: To polish your work, you don't have to "beat your sister" (growth climax) •Souvenir repeatedly revised the toy plan and encountered difficulties: the parts were difficult to assemble and the structure was unreasonable. I had to rework it again and again, and even thought about giving up in the middle; •Dad came home, listened carefully to his design ideas, and used his own toy-making experience to give him practical suggestions; Dad, who has a bad memory, worked hard to write down his toy plan this time, and no longer made any mistakes; •Mom saw that the souvenir insisted on designing and secretly prepared a drawing book for him; •Souvenirs: Explain the paleontology assembly toys you designed to the children in the museum; do careful research. • During the break of her mother's live broadcast, onlookers watched the siblings test toys, and unexpectedly gained a lot of love from the audience in the live broadcast room. •Small exhibition activities in the school, souvenirs, sketches and samples of semi-finished toys were shared with the class. The students liked this set of assembled toys that integrated ancient culture/natural ecology very much. •Souvenir gradually understood: You don't have to beat Ji Ling or prove that you are stronger. My sister is good at painting and learning, but I am good at doing things, conceiving, observing, and making friends. Everyone has different strengths. If you do what you love seriously, you are very good in yourself. Part Five: The Little Toy Kingdom of Souvenirs (Final Chapter | Warm ending, leaving room for sequel) •The souvenir ecological/ancient culture themed assembly toy plan has been approved by my father and is planned to be made into a small sample. •He did not completely achieve the original goal of "making his sister admit defeat", but he gained something more precious: stable creativity, practical ability, support from partners and family, and accepted that "his grades are average, but still very precious". •He continues to conceive of more new toys, and the dream of "Toy Kingdom" has just begun; he also plans to continue looking for the next inspiration with his sister next time. (Written on August 24, 2016, scheduled for September 1, 2026) Intention: The excitement of growth does not lie in comparison, but in finding your own light.
