The screenwriter Zhou Ningning stayed up late revising the manuscript until she fainted. When she opened her eyes, she was transported into the ancient novel she wrote. She was not the heroine that everyone was looking for, but Zhou Xiaoning, the 18th-tier cannon fodder female supporting character who could not survive three episodes and was specially used to provide assists to the male and female protagonists and promote the main plot.
As a mother of the author, she knows her "fate" better than anyone else: being used by the villain, misunderstanding the heroine, making a fool of herself in public, and finally dying tragically to save the hero without even a tombstone. In order to survive, and not to follow the bloody script, Zhou Ningning decided to change his fate.
She first avoided all the famous scenes in the original work: she did not snatch the jade pendant from the heroine, she did not hate the male protagonist's white moonlight, and she did not get involved in the house fights and palace fights. Instead, she relied on advance predictions of the plot to resolve the crisis time and time again. When she was supposed to be framed and fell into the water, she backhandedly saved the heroine; when the villain was supposed to take advantage of her, she exposed the conspiracy in advance; when she was supposed to have no brains for love, she started a side job to make money, learn skills, and build connections.
