Ari is a chipmunk spirit.
He just came to the human world from the forest and worked in a small coffee shop, clumsily pulling flowers, delivering food, and cleaning tables every day. He rented a small house, and there was a very strange man living next door.
The man's name is Shen Du. He is tall and thin. He talks very little. He leaves early and comes back late every day. The only time Ali saw him face to face was in the corridor every morning. Shen Du always wears a dark gray windbreaker and holds a black umbrella - whether it's raining or not. Ali once couldn't help but ask, "It didn't rain today?" Shen Du glanced at him and said, "Get used to it."
Ali thought this person was very strange, but didn't think much about it.
Until one day, Ali worked overtime late and went out to find it was raining heavily. He didn't have an umbrella, so he huddled under the eaves in front of the coffee shop, staring at the rain in a daze. Suddenly, a black umbrella was held above his head.
Shen Du stood next to him, his gray windbreaker a corner wet from the rain, his face expressionless.
"Let's go," he said, "on our way."
Ali followed him into the rain in a daze. The umbrella was big enough to cover two people, but his shoulders were still a little wet from the rain - because Shen Du tilted the umbrella towards him, half of his shoulders were fully exposed.
That night, Ali found a scale falling out of the pocket of Shen Du's windbreaker. Silvery gray, shining under the light, like fish scales, but not quite like them. He picked it up and looked at it for a long time.
Later he learned that the dragon living next door had lived in this human world for more than three hundred years. He goes out with a black umbrella every day, not because it rains, but because he is afraid that if he is not careful, he will turn into a dragon in the sun.
And he wants to be an ordinary human being, live in an ordinary house, and live an ordinary life.
Until a chipmunk moved next door to him and skipped past his door every morning, smiling and saying "good morning" to him with a sound like a piece of candy dropped into water.
Shen Du looked at the chipmunk's back and raised the umbrella a little higher.
An article about an umbrella, a scale, and a cookie that forgets to use an umbrella on a rainy day.
Intention: Happy every day^_^
