The work tells the story of the family life of Southern Hokkien families from the Anti-Japanese War to the 1970s, the joys and sorrows of overseas Chinese families during those difficult years, and how the Hokkien people spent the difficult years from the Malayan period until the establishment of the Federation of Malaysia. Through the narration of family, love, and friendship, it reflects the strong, brave, kind, loving family, and patriotic qualities of the Southern Fujian people. Standing in Nanyang and looking at my hometown in the distance, there are some timeless stories worth savoring.
