Character settings:
- Gong Lu Yan: 24 years old, the eldest son of Lu, an architectural designer/university lecturer. A cold and ascetic type, strong and restrained, with a strong desire for control. He is cold externally and paranoid internally (later). When his parents remarried, he was 17 years old and had a long-term indifference to Cui Nian's existence.
- Shou Cui Nian: 20 years old, a junior in the Fine Arts Department. Gentle and healing type, but soft on the outside and strong on the inside, well-behaved on the outside but actually independent. At the age of 15, he remarried into the Lu family with his mother, and has been silently in love with Lu Yan for five years. After being hurt, he took the initiative to leave.
