The day before school started, my shadow suddenly told me that she no longer wanted to go to graduate school.
She began to refuse to go to class, refuse group meetings, refuse to socialize, and refuse to continue to play the role of me who is always right, always works hard, and always seems to know what to do next.
I asked her: "Then what do you want to do?"
Shadow said: "I don't know."
"You don't know anything, why should you go on strike for me?"
She was silent for a while.
"Because you don't know either."
Recruitment, graduate school, scientific research, graduation... I have always been good at reaching the end point that others told me, but it seems that I haven't asked myself where I want to go for a long time.
Later, my shadow began to leave me little by little.
She skipped classes for me, went crazy for me, and said things I never dared to say.
Until one day, I discovered——
She really left, and I can never find the self who once wanted to write stories, see the world, and live a willful life.
This is a story about shadow and "me".
