A laid-back girl with formidable martial arts skills VS a scheming older minister from an enemy nation
A scheming, ruthless powerful minister sets out to win her back. A not-quite-lazy girl's extraordinary experiences after she transmigrates.
With the New Year approaching, a massacre that wiped out an entire household in the Northern Liang Kingdom shocks the martial world.
People say the manor lord's son and daughter survived the disaster. Some even claim to have seen the Jade Fan Manor's signature killing move, but no one has actually seen the young manor lord who has made a name for herself across the martial world.
Meanwhile, an unknown young swordsman with formidable martial arts skills has joined a mysterious merchant caravan from the Southern Jin Kingdom.
Duan Jingqiu has a secret no one knows: in this turbulent age, her soul comes from somewhere else.
The first time she sees Huo Ci, he's a disheveled man curled up in a pit, with only his unruly face showing.
A few days later, the man she rescued comes looking for her. Dressed in finery and radiating a chilling aura, he smiles as he offers her a heavy purse, saying he wants to make a deal.
Duan Jingqiu shakes her head.
Sorry! I'm under no obligation to work as anyone's bodyguard.
Then the man opens the purse, revealing the glittering gold inside.
Duan Jingqiu: “!!!”
They say Huo Ci, a powerful minister of Southern Jin, has a white moonlight who once saved his life. Sadly, she married far away and is living a happy life.
But the Southern Jin emperor is on his deathbed, and this princess, living in a distant land, has somehow ascended to the throne. Rumors spread through the city that Huo Ci orchestrated the whole thing.
What no one knows is that this minister, now perched on a high pedestal, is racking his brains over how to make a free-spirited hero willingly stay by his side.
Reader's notes
1. One-on-one romance, both leads are virgins, open ending. The early chapters lean toward sweet everyday moments.
2. The white moonlight is not the heroine.
3. Writing is a hobby, so please be kind. If you enjoy it, please add it to your favorites. Thank you!
4. My next novel is in the works...
5. There may be both a bad ending and a happy ending in the extras. Personally, though, I prefer this kind of ethereal, open-ended conclusion, where readers' imaginations can fill in every possible ending.
