Yan Zhijin was haunted by a long and realistic dream. In the dream, she and her lover Tang Yumo broke through family barriers and went to Bali to hold a wedding. However, their sweetheart walked to the sea and turned into foam, and the dream was shattered.
What woke up from the dream was a misunderstanding that lasted twenty-three years. They broke up suddenly two months before graduation. They decided to get back together half a month later. On the appointed day, Tang Yumo did not attend the appointment. Yan Zhijin thought that she had abandoned her feelings and made a decisive engagement, until she accidentally learned the truth: Tang Yumo was detained by her family and forced to get married. She was involved in a car accident and died long ago.
The nightmare lingers day and night. Yan Zhijin quits his job as a teacher at his alma mater and runs to open a shop in the city his lover longs for. An old friend is vaguely glimpsed in the sea of people, and the story ends with a yellowed note blown to the ground by the wind. The note vaguely reads: It's a pleasure to meet you. ——Tang Yimo
Intention: The shackles of the secular world destroy the true feelings of young people, creating a tragedy that is difficult to make up for. Dreams are the sustenance of obsessions, and the illusion of perfection reflects the regrets of life and death in reality. Even if life passes away, the glorious past of that midsummer period will not disappear, and people can move on with this memory.
