Synopsis
Su Yan's world is all about black and white legal principles and winning and losing. After seven years of practice, she is a top litigation lawyer in the industry. She is calm, restrained and always rational. She believes that rules can heal all injustices, and she firmly believes that she can make her own judgments about right and wrong. She is used to shouldering all the pressure alone, and uses a dossier to fight against all disputes and darkness in the world. She is tough, competitive, and never shows weakness. She lives her life like a sharp and cold inkstone. She only talks about the results and does not talk about regrets. Until a funeral, she met Lu Shi'an at the funeral parlor beside the river embankment. The place of life and death that the world avoids is where Lu Shian works day after day. He is the last farewell person in the world, gentle, calm and transparent. He has seen the most separations and the deepest helplessness. He understands that people's hearts cannot be defined by rules and regulations, and regrets cannot be erased by winning or losing. Outside one door, there is Su Yan's worldly game, right and wrong; inside one door, there is Lu Shi'an's silence of life and death, and all kinds of relief. When we met for the first time, our ideas were at odds with each other and our worlds were at odds with each other. Su Yan insists on justice and strives for perfection; Lu Shi'an accepts regrets and treats imperfections kindly. For the first time, she realized that not all suffering in life can be ended by winning a lawsuit, and not all scars can be healed with justice. They come from two completely different lives, but through countless encounters, running-in, and understanding, they slowly enter each other's world. Su Yan learned to take off the tight armor, accept the powerlessness and softness of life, and no longer only measure life by winning and losing; Lu Shi'an also slowly walked out of the haze of the past, daring to be favored and embrace warmth. Secular prejudices, professional differences, native shackles, and past knots create layers of barriers between the two. They have disputes, hesitations, and pulls, but they also have unswerving choices and perseverance. This is a restrained and tender love between adults, and it is also a two-way self-salvation. After all the turmoil, the inkstone gathered its edge and finally returned to peace. Philosophy: When a female lawyer who believes in legal principles of winning and losing meets an undertaker who faces the separation of life and death. The work explores the balance between rationality and empathy, and faces the fact that many regrets in the world cannot be completely eliminated by justice; two people break through secular prejudices, reflect each other, and complete self-reconciliation and two-way redemption in love.
