Introduction to the work
After a boring class and a disappointing court internship, Zuo Sha, a law student, accidentally picked up a flyer for a detective club and stepped into the world of amateur detectives. The strangely flashing figure in red on the outskirts of the city, the rusty car buried in the abandoned mountain road for 23 years, and the diamond ring hidden in the hidden compartment of the car stereo are all intertwined and point to a long-lasting robbery and murder case.
Under the leadership of Li Zhigang, the founder of the society, Zuo Sha followed the team to the remote crime scene, visited jewelry stores, and set up a trap for lost and found items. Step by step, she approached Wang Peng, the man in red, and traced back to the murder that was caused by a mistake twenty-three years ago. The story does not stop at solving the mystery of the case and chasing the culprit. It also uses the protagonist's internship to see the judicial chaos and the confused situation of college students to interrogate the gap between ideals and reality, and to peek into the desires, struggles and decline of human nature of ordinary people under difficult circumstances.
