Du Xiaojuan is the mother of two children. The eldest is in elementary school from 3 to 4, and the younger one is still a toddler. Her every day is a cycle of urging homework, cooking, coaxing to sleep, yelling, and apologizing. That evening, she got angry again because her daughter didn't do her homework. When she turned around, she fell into the summer vacation when she was nine years old.
There is no endless mother, no endless work. She became a nine-year-old Xiaojuan, waiting for the popsicle seller at the door with fifty cents in her hand, lying on the ground playing pebbles with her good friends, huddled in front of the TV with the neighbor children to watch "Huan Zhu Ge Ge", helping her mother water the vegetable field but taking a shower to cool herself from head to toe...
During this summer that she could never go back to, she suddenly remembered something: before she became a mother, she was just a child. And that child hadn't been hugged properly for a long time.
Intention: When we finally grow up to the age where we can understand our parents, we have long forgotten the joy of being children. This story is a summer recollection for all tired adults.
