The Time and Space Travel Agency is an extra-dimensional organization that spans countless dimensions. It exists earlier than time itself and is responsible for maintaining the narrative balance of billions of parallel worlds. When a world reaches a breaking point—that is, an anomaly that deviates from the established narrative trajectory and may lead to the collapse of the world line—the Time Travel Bureau will send correctors to intervene.
The protagonist Zhao Cheng, whose original world number is No. 749, Is a survivor who has experienced a complete apocalyptic cycle. In that world, he witnessed the entire process of civilization from its peak to its collapse: order disintegrated, resources were depleted, and mutations were rampant. He survived for seventeen years in the apocalypse, growing from the lowest level of scavenger to the leader of the Morning Star who commanded a settlement of thousands of people. In the end, he died while covering the evacuation of his companions during an abyssal tide.
After his death, his consciousness was captured by the Time Travel Bureau. The bureau assessed that his will to survive, tactical literacy, and personality toughness all meet the standards of a revisionist, and his apocalyptic post-traumatic growth index is extremely outstanding - this is the quality that the time-travel bureau values most. Therefore, Zhao Cheng was given the Vientiane Compass System and became the corrector numbered 007. His mission was to travel through different ancient cultivation worlds, correct collapse points, accumulate stardust points, and finally unlock the authority to return to the source.
