Synopsis
"Don't ask any more questions." This was the first thing her cousin said to Chen Ke on the day she came to this small town in the Scottish Highlands to work in the Chinese restaurant owned by her cousin's uncle. She didn't take it too seriously. I jumped out of the 996 life and came to this small town with no people. I spent half a year very regularly: going to class, working part-time, driving to the highlands to find a random hillside to relax in, and occasionally updating my self-media account. The town is small, with only one main road. It gets dark very late in summer, and the town is quiet after dark. Her cousin dislikes her because he thinks she is always lazy in the restaurant; she also dislikes him because he is so young and puts on a stern face all day long. A new batch of tour groups have arrived in town these days, and the restaurant business has picked up in line with the peak season. A man and a woman were suspected to be lovers. They came to eat every day. They were all of the same age, and Chen Ke gradually became familiar with them. That day at dinner time, the two of them came in to take away the food. "Have you seen our friend, the girl we had dinner with these days? She is lost." Chen Ke thought for a while and shook his head. "No," she said, "Did you go far away to take pictures in another town?" My cousin had just returned from delivering takeout. He frowned when he saw her slacking off, but it was rare that he didn't find fault with her. After sending the young couple away, Chen Ke lowered his head to wipe the table and suddenly stopped with his hands. Where did they get their friends from? Aren't they the only ones who come here to eat alone these days? * Folk songs would ring out late at night in the town's hotels, and no one knew where they came from. On the first night, the kind shepherd in the song picked up the treasure left by the roadside. The next night, the little girl in the song said goodbye to her sisters On the third night, a man in the song knelt down by the well and sacrificed himself Chen Ke later learned that these songs that had been circulating for hundreds of years were singing about the same thing. Five hundred years ago, a girl's name was taken away from her and another took her place and became Queen of Scots. Reading Guide 1. Set in the Scottish Highlands, it is a modern suspense adventure involving folk songs, historical legends and a few fantasy settings, all of which are artistically processed. 2. Plot flow, group portraits, main suspense and puzzle solving, and a slow-burning emotional line. The male and female protagonists are not related by blood. 3. There are many private items, please do not use them as evidence of real Scottish history and folk customs. Concept: Every person who has been quietly rewritten by this land once had a name
