[County-town fiction + rustic fiction + school fiction. The story moves a little slowly at first; school life begins in Chapter 3.]
A proud, domineering bad boy, Sun Jiyang × a slow-witted, sweet, timid pushover, Yu Maomao
Sun Jiyang, son of the richest man in town, was at his grandfather’s birthday banquet when Yu Maomao, who was helping serve the food, spilled noodles all over him. The skin on his little bird got scalded right off!
After transferring to a new school, Sun Jiyang found himself seated in front of the clumsy Yu Maomao. What a coincidence, you’re finished!
Yu Maomao picked food out of the trash.
Sun Jiyang: “You’re a penniless loser!”
Yu Maomao was bullied by some younger students, and Sun Jiyang stepped in to help him.
Sun Jiyang: “Coward!”
Yu Maomao tried to break up a fight but only ended up getting Sun Jiyang hurt.
Sun Jiyang: “You’re holding me back!”
Yu Maomao reported Sun Jiyang for arranging a fight with outsiders.
Sun Jiyang: “Tattletale!”
Yu Maomao refused the three hundred yuan Sun Jiyang offered to sponsor him.
Sun Jiyang: “Stubborn little brat!”
After finally getting a little closer, Yu Maomao wanted to make a promise to go to college and get a job together.
Sun Jiyang: “A confession?? I don’t accept!”
Yu Maomao called out to Sun Jiyang and fumbled around in his pocket for a few scraps of paper.
Sun Jiyang: “A love letter?? Calm down!”
Sigh... The young master couldn’t insult the shepherd boy into leaving, but he couldn’t bring himself to hit him either. He was utterly helpless.
As his emotional defenses gradually crumbled, he was ultimately conquered by the adorable, clueless shepherd boy.
Yu Maomao had nowhere to sleep that night.
Sun Jiyang, trying to sound casual: “You have to wash up first if you want to get in my bed.”
Yu Maomao shoved the clingy Sun Jiyang off the bed.
Sun Jiyang, furious with embarrassment: “You won’t let me kiss you? Why not? Didn’t you say you liked me?”
Yu Maomao suggested Sun Jiyang could become a pilot and find his mother that way.
Sun Jiyang tapped the back of Yu Maomao’s head. “You’ve got a round little head, and you’re so clever!”
Yu Maomao ate the little cream cake someone had brought him. “It’s not pretty. My grandma didn’t help me sleep on my back to flatten my head.”
Sun Jiyang: “...”
What do you mean it’s not pretty!? What kind of taste is that?
A story about a proud young master who goes from stubborn denial to falling hard.
P.S. The first part takes place at school, followed by some business-startup plot.
Theme: Two boys save each other and never let go. No matter how fierce the storm, I’ll give you everything I have.
