This is a very, very old clichéd story. It's so old that I can read it even when I'm gasping for breath when climbing stairs.
When I was very young, certainly not as young as the Princess and the Pea, I read Countess Segur's storybook. I don't remember most of the stories, but there is a sentence on the back of the book that says, "Let happiness and joy be the eternal ending of fairy tales!"
