Hello, I am Shen Duyan
The summer of 2010 was very long.
It lasted so long that the cicadas chirped throughout the entire season, so long that the Nokia screen went on and off, so long that I quietly hid my entire youthful thoughts in the repeatedly looped MP3 player.
When I was seventeen years old, I guarded the deserted newsstand on the street corner. My life was monotonous and boring until there was a young man repairing a digital stall at the corner of the street.
He would repair broken headphones and malfunctioning players. In the evening when the crowds had dispersed, he would quietly stop by my tin booth and accompany me to enjoy the evening breeze for a few minutes.
That year there were no smartphones, no private good night messages, no public walking side by side.
Our encounter was by chance, our companionship was restrained, and our love was never mentioned.
The world is noisy and turbulent, but young love is silent.
Some love can only be hidden in the wind of ten years and never see the light of day. It can only be remembered for the rest of my life.
I write down notes to describe the remaining tenderness of my youth. All the trivial heartbeats and regrets are personally experienced. I hope you will like this little story hidden in the old days.

The market overwhelms love|I missed it when I was young|Ten years of tender old dreams
Purpose: To write about a young man's thoughts trapped by the times. Love is sincere and guiltless, but in the small town of that year, it could only return to silence, leaving a silent yearning for the years.
