Jiang Suisui’s family transmigrates to the Great Liang dynasty, waking up to a nightmare from the start: their home is bare, creditors are at the door, and her father plans to hand her over to pay off his debts.
What they don’t know is that everyone in the family has a cheat ability:
Her gambling-addict father becomes king of the mountains, and every arrow he shoots finds its mark.
Her timid mother channels a master chef, selling a single pastry all over the city.
Her useless older brother becomes a silver-tongued courtroom ace, unbeatable at solving cases in the county office.
And Jiang Suisui has bound herself to the Divine Farmer Lottery.
Today she scratches off an illustrated guide to herbs, tomorrow a mystery box containing a new species, and the day after that, the mountain god himself points her the way.
Others rely on the weather to farm. She relies on luck.
From digging up herbs to opening a candy shop, from weaving cotton cloth to sending goods overseas, her business empire expands across the seas.
She even develops hybrid rice, giving the people of Great Liang enough to eat for the first time.
The people call her “the Divine Farmer of Our Age,” and the court grants her the title of county princess.
She looks down and fiddles with her golden abacus. Oh, she’s accidentally become the richest person in the world.
Xie Yu’an, heir to the Prince of Zhennan, falls into the water and is rescued by her. He offers to marry her to repay her for saving his life.
Jiang Suisui points to the grass by his feet. “Do you know what this is called?”
The heir shakes his head.
Jiang Suisui says, “I know just as much about you as I do about this blade of grass: absolutely nothing.”
The heir panics. “But your reputation…”
“Then let it be ruined.”
“Shouldn’t I at least repay you for saving my life?”
“Gold will do, and silver will do too. Stop trying to fob me off with yourself.”
After thinking it over, the heir offers her gold, and ends up giving her himself as well.
Jiang Suisui: “…I suppose I don’t mind the extra.”
Not only does she not mind, it turns out to be delicious.
