In his sophomore year of high school, Xu Pingan had a cold new deskmate.
His name is Jiang Sui. His family was in decline, his mother died early, his father was imprisoned, and his body was tattooed with the words "Keep away from strangers". Xu Pingan, however, puts an osmanthus candy made by his grandmother on the corner of his desk every day, tilts his umbrella towards him when it rains, and waits for him to get off work at the convenience store door late at night.
Jiang Sui scolded him: "Are you stupid?"
Xu Pingan walked away with red eyes. But the next day, another candy appeared on the corner of the table.
Later, Jiang Sui found out that Xu Pingan was not stupid. He is the smartest person in the world - smart enough to recognize him at a glance in the ruins, and then spend his entire youth putting him back together bit by bit.
They bought a piggy bank together and said they would save a lot of money and go to the beach or wherever they wanted to go. But on the eve of the college entrance examination, the piggy bank was broken, and Jiang Sui fell to the ground covered in blood among the fragments.
He left a letter, the last line of which read: "Wait for me, wish you peace."
Xu Ping'an clutched the piece of paper and cried heartbrokenly.
"I'll wait for you, Jiang Sui."
Three years later, the sweet-scented osmanthus bloomed again.
