"Fireworks" is a long scroll of destiny that spans more than 20 years. It starts from the New Year's Eve bombing on the eve of Hong Kong's return in 1997. It tells the story of two young men, Guo Yunze and He Yiwei, who were separated due to the massacre. They grew up amidst amnesia and revenge, and finally reunited and reconciled.
He Yiwei was rescued by overseas Chinese Liu Haodong during the explosion. He grew up in Chengdu and later became a pianist. He has been secretly investigating the truth of the year. Guo Yunze was brought to Kunming to be raised by He Shaoyong (pseudonym Guo Shaoyong). He lost his memory due to a serious injury and had a bright and cheerful personality. However, he experienced a youthful tear due to the triangular relationship between his high school crush Li Chengyuan and his childhood friend Zhang Juncan. Li Chengyuan went abroad, Zhang Juncan enlisted in the army, and Guo Yunze faced the hardships of life alone, such as his father's serious illness, teaching, and working.
Many years later, the two unexpectedly reunited in Hangzhou. Why didn't he confirm through scars and jade pendants that Guo Yunze was a lost family member, but chose to endure it. At the same time, in order to seize the jade pendant of drug evidence left by Guo Zhenxiao, Xiangdao Jiangnan sent his subordinate Wen Tao to track him down, causing Guo Yunze to be seriously injured in a car accident. His wife Gu Rujun, who was in a fake marriage, died after giving birth, leaving behind a boy and a girl.
