This is a story about "the rift".
She is not a complete piece of jade. The crack left by Lu Zeshen had been repeatedly denied and repaired by her. She thought the crack was a scar, but later discovered that the crack was also where light came in. Zhao Xiuyuan was not the one who came to repair the cracks. He was the one who saw the cracks and was not in a hurry to fill them up. He just sat quietly beside her and waited for her to decide whether to let the light in.
In the relationship between three people, there is no right or wrong, only the order of time and the depth of understanding.
From the unlit dark gray car at the entrance of the emergency building, to the first line that no one noticed in the water tower's guestbook; from the first time he held her hand in the parking lot, to the line of notes she added to the edge of his speech at the Paris Forum; from "The wall is not torn down, it is forgotten" to "These are also voices, the tower heard them, and so did I." Every crack proves that the deepest love is not about possessing or chasing, but about waiting quietly there when the other person is not ready.
"The Crack" is a story about guarding and letting go, silence and response, understanding and being understood. It is written to all those who have been burned but still believe in warmth, and to all those who are waiting in silence but have never been heard.
Because some sounds are not in the air. It is in the cracks of bricks, in the hum of rotating copper sheets, and on the tip of a person's pencil. It's waiting to be heard and it's waiting to be responded to.
Intention: Being seen and being understood are two different things
