Synopsis
When everyone meets Xu Zhizhu for the first time, they will think that she is an easy girl to get along with. She is cheerful, enthusiastic, brave and considerate, and is the most approachable girl in the class. She will remember the little emotions of her friends, offer words of comfort when others are sad, and become the focus of the crowd with her ever-bright smile. She started thinking about some issues earlier than her peers. About life, about choices, about the complex emotions between people. But only she knows that she is not as brave as she looks. She is used to analyzing others, but rarely admits her own fatigue; used to comforting everyone's uneasiness, but is afraid of exposing her own vulnerability. She packaged herself as a person who would never be hurt, as if only in this way she would not be forgotten or left behind. It wasn't until her senior year of high school that she met Lin Jiashu, a repeater who was a bit special. When he was a freshman in high school, he simply thought science was cool, so he chose science without hesitation, running towards the future he wanted with the simplest passion of his youth. But after failing the college entrance examination, he discovered that perhaps what he was good at was writing and history. So he made a new choice and transferred to the liberal arts class, becoming Xu Zhizhu's classmate. He loves to laugh, likes anime, can tell some weird jokes, and doesn't complain too much when facing failure. He is like a person who is always friendly, accepts his imperfections calmly, and is willing to take everyone around him seriously. Many people like his sunshine. But only Xu Zhizhu knew that the real sun was not because it had never experienced darkness, but because it was still willing to give warmth. And Lin Jiashu also slowly discovered that the girl who seemed to be always happy actually had many wounds that she didn't want to be seen. They met in midsummer, and during the long and short years of their senior year of high school, they became the most special existence in each other's youth. Lin Jiashu made Xu Zhizhu understand for the first time that sadness is not weakness, tears are not failure, and admitting one's needs will not lose the qualification to be loved. And Xu Zhizhu also let Lin Jiashu know that the person who always gives warmth to others deserves someone to stop and hug him. There are always some encounters in life that are not destined to accompany you for a lifetime. Many years later, Xu Zhizhu finally understood that some people come into life not to be the end of your life, but to help you learn to go further. Purpose: Growth is not about making a person invincible, but about learning to accept one's imperfections. Xu Zhizhu once tried hard to cover up loneliness with enthusiasm and weariness with sensibleness. It wasn't until she met Lin Jiashu that she understood that true gentleness is not about being strong forever, but about bravely letting go of your guard when someone is with you, and accepting yourself when no one is with you. This is a story about youth, growth and love. Not all encounters between people lead to eternity. Some people come into life not to accompany them for a lifetime, but to make another person a more complete self. The work hopes to explore: how to continue to grow in the face of loss and farewell, and how to go from relying on the light of others to becoming one's own light.
