Before time travel, she fell to death on the stairs of Tongzi Tower, still holding the old artist's last set of foreign movie boxes in her arms. When he opened his eyes again, his back hurt from the straw, but there were calluses worn out by Paxingmu on his seventeen-year-old palms. The handyman in a dilapidated teahouse couldn't even afford a gavel, so he dared to talk about Zhao Zilong's Changbanpo after digging out a broken brick.
The veteran in the corner had been crying for twenty-three years. The arrow wound had long since healed, but he howled in pain every night. After singing a piece of the Three Kingdoms, a wisp of black smoke seeped out of his knees and the resentment that had been accumulated for half a lifetime leaked out. The emotions of the people in the teahouse turned into a warm current and poured into Gu Qingtang's dantian. Three thousand years after the end of the Dharma, the spiritual energy has dried up, but the human heart is still beating. She understood: the "power of wish" generated by the seven emotions and six desires of mortals is more intense than the spiritual veins. The storyteller's voice is the introduction.
Telling books to transform resentments, shadow puppets to control shadows, Nuo opera to invite gods, paper cuttings to transform into talismans - "Baigong Pu" grows on its own with each skill she learns, and every page is a new way of thinking in the era of the end of the Dharma. Qing Yumen sent an old talisman: Qingtuoling folk gathering to discuss a new road. She walked out of the town and met the 80-year-old shadow puppet mother-in-law who eavesdropped on Baili with her shadow, the Nuo opera boy who put on a mask to invite the ancient gods, and the troupe leader who used puppets to bear the pain for others. The "side doors" scattered among the people turned out to be a complete road when put together.
What the masters didn't finish teaching, she continued to learn from another place. What this world owes to mortals, she pays back with story after story.
Intention: The essence of practice is not "acquisition", but "resonance". The logic of orthodox cultivation of immortality is to seize upwards (spiritual energy, elixirs, opportunities), while Gu Qingtang's path is to take root downwards - to enter into the joys, sorrows, sorrows and joys of mortals, and use stories to tell their unspeakable sufferings. What she saved was not herself, but sentient beings; and in turn, the sentient beings also saved her.
