Synopsis
"The Fall of Summer" uses the bond of youth and the separation of adulthood between two talented teenagers to tell the fateful regret of restraining love. When they were teenagers, Shen Jin'an and Song Xuheng walked together in preparation for exams and competitions. Their feelings were buried deep in their hearts, and they were afraid to express them because of reality. They suddenly separated at a crossroads in life and were disconnected for seven years. They each reached the top of the industry, but were fettered by the past and turned into physical and mental shackles. The work reveals: The heartbeat of forbearance in youth will not disappear with the years, and restraint in adulthood is far more painful than the cowardice of youth. A successful career cannot fill the emotional void, and long-term longing turns into old physical illness and mental exhaustion. The story tells the profound core: once the most precious companionship is missed, even if you stand at the top of your life, you will only look back alone for the rest of your life; the unspoken tenderness will eventually become an obsession that cannot be healed in a lifetime. It reminds the world to cherish the encounter in the moment and don't let deep love turn into a lifelong regret. Purpose: In the late autumn of Heng University Sophomore High School, two perfect teenagers meet each other. Shen Jin'an, who is gentle and steady, and takes every step seriously, and Song Xuheng, who is talented, cold and lonely, stand side by side in high-pressure key classes and competition training, becoming the insurmountable twin peaks of the school. One person is diligent and down-to-earth and builds glory with self-discipline; the other person is extremely talented and breaks through with thinking. They are each other's only rivals, the only companions who can keep up with each other's pace, and they are also young people who bury their hearts deeply and restrain themselves. From the second year to the third year of high school, countless self-study sessions late at night, walking home side by side without any prying eyes, and moments of solitude accompanied by wind and rain, allowed the two to develop a secret and pure love between competition and tacit understanding. They understand each other's hidden background, understand each other's gentleness and loneliness under restraint, and understand each other's forbearance and helplessness in carrying forward a heavy burden. However, they are limited by academic pressure, teenage self-esteem, and ignorance and cowardice. They always control themselves and never exceed the rules. They hide their full love in their eyes, in the day and night, and in the silence that no one knows. From the provincial competition, the national competition to the national Olympiad, the two supported each other and complemented each other's strengths. They healed and relied on each other in the high-pressure competition and preparation for the senior high school exam. The future is bright and dazzling, and I promised to wait until the dust settles to reveal my true feelings, but my fate is quietly misaligned. The National Olympiad came to an end. Song Xuheng won the gold medal and was recommended to go north in advance. Shen Jinan unfortunately lost the qualification for the recommendation and faced heavy pressure to sprint for the college entrance examination. In the midsummer of my eighteenth year, graduation came as scheduled, with no goodbyes, no confessions, and no explanations. The choice of schools, one in the south and the other in the north, completely opened up their life trajectories. After four years of going their separate ways, separated by a sea of people and a tacit understanding of alienation, the twin peak teenagers who once accompanied each other day and night were finally separated at the end of their youth, leaving behind a lot of regrets and unfinished worries, laying the foundation for the irreversible fate of the next seven years of complete disconnection, entangled obsessions in both directions, and the ultimate pain at the peak of adulthood.
