This is my first attempt at writing a novel. Overall, it is of great significance to me. After all, I am only in my second year of junior high school. Therefore, I hope readers will enjoy this book "Summer" (abbreviation).
When I first started writing this story, it was at the end of December 2025, a winter day. Although the weather in Hunan was not as cold as in the north, it still made me want to immerse myself in that warm place. Maybe it's because of my mentality, or maybe it's because I yearn for and like summer, so this novel with most of the plot set in summer was born.
To be honest, I first started writing this novel because I accidentally saw "The Summer Solstice Has Not Come" by Guo Jingming on the bookshelf in my study room. So the draft, first draft, and second draft of the novel I wrote at that time (only the first and second chapters) were all influenced by "The Summer Solstice Has Not Come", which can be said to be plagiarism. But I changed it later, but there is still a trace of the final shadow. Why did I give up reading the masterpiece "The Summer Solstice Has Not Come"? Because I found that I couldn't write novels with a strong sense of literature and art. It seemed that I only belonged to the slow-paced and simple writing style. Therefore, I used my ideas and methods to revamp the entire novel, hoping that the final cost would be acceptable to many readers.
The starting point of the whole book is the first year of high school, but I started writing it from the second year of junior high school, so the high school life in this book may be a bit "utopian", so don't criticize it if you don't like it.
When the cicada chirps into the wind and gets caught in my collar,
I look back
I saw a group of people joking at the starting point of summer.
Concept: All the bright moments like summer are limited time only. Youth, encounters, and companionship day and night cannot last forever. We cannot stop separation and the passage of time, but the tenderness generated by a brief encounter is enough to dissolve the loneliness in the long years to come; the fleeting beauty is particularly precious precisely because it is limited. The whole story begins in late summer and ends in midsummer
