The plot is a narcissus-type novel in an imaginary world. It tells the story of "I" who has lost his parents and is lonely. One day, he suddenly discovers that his shadow has independent consciousness and personality, can speak, and can help himself. From then on, the shadow acted as the guardian and guide of "me", leading me to travel far and wide throughout this magical continent, and saw many strange, mysterious, and shocking people, scenery, and objects. "I" and the shadow got along with each other during the journey and became close friends who talked about everything.
