Purpose: "Finally Made This Decision" wants to write about how a person goes from hesitation and self-doubt to having the courage to admit and get closer to his feelings. In the story, Shen Zhao's cheerfulness contrasts with Xu Qinghe's restraint, but they both face the same problem: Is liking someone, especially someone of the same sex, worth the risk of losing the existing relationship and facing the world's eyes? The novel draws on the grandfather's forbidden feelings when he was young to point out the core concept - love is one's own business. It does not need to be recognized by the world first, nor does it need to be responded to. It first only coexists with oneself. True courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to take a step forward even if you are afraid. The entire work does not pursue dramatic conflicts, but presents the truest growth process of emotions through daily approaches, temptations, withdrawals and re-approaches. What I ultimately want to express is: Although the road is difficult, the journey will be successful. As long as you are willing to make that decision, the wind will carry you forward.
