One day, Wu Suowei opens an unfamiliar link, and immediately regrets it.
The link is a job posting offering twenty thousand a month. For someone like her, with no degree and no money, it’s incredibly tempting.
After escaping from the Life Research Institute and nearly losing her status as a living person, Wu Suowei can only take on simple odd jobs. At one point, she can barely afford rent. Faced with this opportunity, she can’t help feeling tempted.
Taking along her only possession, an old phone given to her by her landlord out of pity, Wu Suowei sets off for Fog City to apply for the job.
But from the moment she steps aboard the ship, everything starts to get strange.
First, everyone on board mysteriously disappears. Then the ship won’t start.
She drifts across the sea in the only lifeboat and finally reaches her destination just as her phone runs out of power.
Once she arrives, she realizes this is a one-way trip.
Not only that, but the job she’s about to take is one of the most dangerous in the entire city.
Oh, well. She’s already here, so she might as well get to work.
Here, “lamps” are the foundation of everything, and the lamplighters’ duty is to protect them.
The “Void” fog blankets this world, while on another plane, “Crimson” flesh watches hungrily.
To uncover the secrets of her own existence and improve her chances of survival, Wu Suowei accepts the “detective’s” invitation and sets out on a “road of no return” in search of the truth.
Along the road to the truth, she once again finds a familiar shadow.

4. Set in a future sci-fi world. Outer gods study the technology of other outer gods. There are some human experiments, but not many, and people have supernatural abilities.
