Lin Yan, a recent graduate, took over a very cheap used bookstore down the alley to save rent, but was forced to abide by ten strange "business rules." From not being allowed to have guests late at night to being strictly prohibited from opening the wooden box in the northwest corner, behind every rule lies an unjust case of blood and tears from sixty years ago. When the seal is broken, the ghost of actress Su Manli and the ghost of foreman Zhang Huaimin wake up one after another. Lin Yan must piece together the remains and return the relics in the gap between life and death in order to unlock the dusty curse of the bookstore and let himself survive tomorrow.
Concept: The story explores the themes of "karma cycle" and "face to fear" through the protagonist's survival experience under strange rules. It reveals that escaping from the rules can only lead to temporary peace. Only by bravely uncovering the historical truth and making up for past regrets (such as helping Su Manli fight her bones for revenge) can we fundamentally eliminate fear and gain true peace.
