Seventeen-year-old Shu Qi transferred to Haicheng No. 1 Middle School and met Chi Tingyu, a senior in high school. The soy milk, oden cooking, cat coffee and sunflower fields under the locust tree made up the only good days in her barren life. Chi Tingyu is her light, and she is Chi Tingyu's destination. But some people are destined not to stay in the spring - Shu Qi tried his best to live, and finally saved all the good days in a photo album and quit this city without an exit. Many years later, Chi Tingyu passed by the locust tree and felt that someone was waiting for her under the tree.
Intention: How much effort does a person have to exert to make himself worthy of "living"? And how much weight does the other person have to bear to move forward after being left behind.
Shu Qi has never been treated gently by life in his life. She is a person who grew out of the cracks. Relying on the little light given by Chi Tingyu, she pieced herself together into a look that "looks okay". She finally chose to leave, not because she didn't love him anymore, but because she loved Chi Tingyu so much that she didn't want her to watch her break. She used all her strength to live until that spring, and then left her last tenderness to say goodbye.
Chi Tingyu never did anything wrong. She gave Shu Qi everything she could - companionship, patience, love, and security. But she couldn't give Shu Qi a reason to live, because that reason had to grow from Shu Qi himself. At the end of the story, she did not "come out", but she learned to take Shu Qi away. She looked at all the flowers for her and spent the rest of her life for her.
So what this novel really wants to say is: Love is not a medicine, and love cannot save everyone. But love can leave traces of one person on another person, even if the river flows through the stone, the stone is still at the bottom of the river.
And a more personal thing that I hid under the story and didn't say directly - some people spend their whole lives fighting for "living". Outsiders can't see the battlefield, but they try their best every day. Shu Qi's ending was not failure, but that she finally made a choice for herself. And Chi Tingyu took the vacancy left by her and completed the road she had not finished.
It is difficult to live, but there are people who have lived for you, remembered for you, and watched the rest of spring for you.
