He Qingli is Grandpa Tan Zhe's last student. She learned the old-school cheongsam craftsmanship, and never changed it easily.
Tan Zhe studied abroad for two years and wanted to change when he came back. He feels that cheongsam can be lighter, more everyday, and younger. He felt that if the old craftsman wanted to survive, he had to change his way of life.
They were guarding the same store, guarding two directions. The name of the store is "Huanhang". It is located in an old alley in Hang'an, with black tiles and white walls, and those two words are engraved on the lintel.
He Qingli didn't talk much. He had a needle in his hand and a piece of cloth in his heart. She remembered what her master said: clothes are worn on the body, not hung on the wall. A good cheongsam requires measurement, material selection, cutting, and sewing—no rush at every step.
Tan Zhe looked like he didn't take anything seriously, but he remembered where every cheongsam in the store came from, who picked out which piece of cloth, and how long each customer had to wait.
