After the 2008 Olympic Games, Gu Bei, a young man from a small town, was admitted to Nanfeng University and met the heroine Xiang Nan and her classmates. The first volume tells the story of four years of college. A group of teenagers from ordinary backgrounds live together on campus. Faced with studies, love, friendship, and ignorant feelings, they constantly think about the meaning of going to college, and spend their hot youth in collision and growth. After graduation, everyone went their separate ways and entered the workplace. The tide of the times swept across them, and their ideals continued to be hit hard by reality. Some people stick to their original intentions, while others compromise with reality. Friendship and love have gone through many tests of reality, and each of them has taken a completely different life path. After more than ten years of ups and downs, and times that have changed, these young people have experienced parting, reunion and regret. The final chapter of the story looks back at youth and writes about the fate and responsibilities of young people in small towns in their 80s and 90s, completing the growth cycle of a generation.

Purpose: To pay tribute to the two generations born in the 80s and 90s, based on the changes of the times in the fourteen years from the 2008 Olympics to the end of the epidemic in 2022, and through the life trajectories of young people from small towns such as Gubei and Xiangnan who entered the workplace from campus to explore the true meaning of university, record the struggle, wandering and self-reconciliation of a generation in the wave of the times, and provide contemporary young people with a reference for growth and life thinking.
