When Harry Potter closed his eyes, he thought he could finally rest.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back to the age of twenty-four, sitting in the principal's office at Hogwarts, opposite the living Professor McGonagall.
The first thing he did: resign.
Second thing: push open the cellar door.
The man who was supposed to die in the Screaming Shack was sitting behind his desk, with black hair and black robes, alive and well.
Harry tightened his grip on the door frame, using all his strength to keep his breath from breaking.
"Long time no see, Professor."
He spoke very softly, as if he was afraid of breaking a dream.
Snape looked up at him, his eyes falling from his forehead to his chin, from his shoulders to his fingertips, and finally back to his green eyes.
"You're sad," he said.
Harry didn't deny it.
"I just... Didn't expect to see you again."
