Su Ling, a soft furnishing curator who resigned from a major Internet company, set up his studio in the streets and alleys of the old city. She doesn't want to follow the arrangements of her elders for frequent blind dates or rush into marriage. She just wants to run her own small world by relying on her passion for soft furnishing design.
Jiang Yuchuan, a landscape designer who undertook the micro-renovation project of the old city, met Su Ling because of the need for soft decoration in public leisure areas. At first, the two only communicated around work. As they spent day and night together surveying streets and polishing furnishing plans, they found that they had a similar aesthetic and shared life concepts: they both disliked the utilitarian life template, preferred a relaxed and down-to-earth daily life, and did not want to be coerced by the world's pressure to get married and class prejudice.
Faced with pressure from parents to get married, project crises on the road to entrepreneurship, and external doubts about women's freelance work, they did not hastily confirm their relationship, but first became each other's reliable business partners: they adjusted the design plan together, helped old street merchants, and resolved conflicts in family concepts. Gradually, tender feelings developed from their tacit understanding at work.
There are no overbearing favoritism, no bloody misunderstandings, just two independent and mature ordinary people, slowly getting closer and healing in both directions in the evening breeze and fireworks of the old city. They first manage their own lives, and then work together to build a common life, proving that the best love is never a life-saving straw, but two rich souls who happen to meet in ordinary years and accompany each other through the long days.
Purpose: Contemporary young people do not need to be coerced by secular standards that urge marriage and utilitarian spouse selection. They should first build a rich and self-consistent spiritual world, and then wait for a soul-matching partner; healthy love is two independent individuals accompanying and supporting each other, rather than binding and compromising each other. Through the two business lines of soft decoration and old city renovation, we explore ideal life, intimacy boundaries, and reconciliation of intergenerational concepts, and convey a relaxed and calm attitude towards life.
