The beauty was named Wen Yan, a musician with a face as lovely as a woman’s, dazzling and elegant, the most beautiful person in the imperial capital.
Unfortunately, his mind was impaired. Something was wrong with his head, and his moods swung wildly. Every day he was either trying to hang himself or kill himself, always bent on dying.
If she just borrowed his seed, the child might end up an orphan from birth.
That would be perfect, Guo Shaoai thought. If he died, he wouldn’t come looking for her. She could make use of him and let him die for all she cared.

The day Guo Shaoai left him behind, Wen Yan really did want to die.
If he hadn’t promised her he would stay alive, he would have killed himself.
He forced himself to live for five years. When they met again, Guo Shaoai had already gotten the pair of children she wanted. She doted on them and cherished them like the apples of her eye.
Where had these disgusting things come from?
The thought that these two foreign beings had grown inside her body, exhausting and hurting her, filled Wen Yan with loathing and utter contempt.
He didn’t want to have children, and he certainly had no intention of letting his ugly bloodline continue.
But Guo Shaoai didn’t want him.
She only loved those two counterfeits who looked like him.
He loathed the children of their flesh and blood. He wished he could take their place, become a flowering branch blossoming from her body, and wrap himself around her forever, never to be parted again.
He couldn’t?

Reader’s guide:
* Written to indulge the author’s preferences. One-on-one, both leads’ first time, the man is seven years older than the woman.
* The leads are physically and emotionally exclusive. The heroine is truly oblivious when it comes to love, and spends most of her time thinking only about herself and her children. She only catches on much later in the story.
* The heroine has no baby obsession, she just likes children. Please allow for women who choose to love children while still remaining true to themselves.
* The hero suffers from a catastrophic start in life, a lack of upbringing, and no moral compass. After prolonged emotional and physical abuse, he becomes genuinely insane. Early on, he shows addictive and hallucinatory symptoms and has especially little sense of right and wrong. These elements serve the plot, so please don’t take them too seriously!
