Synopsis
Su Xiaoning grew up in a divorced family, and their love for her never diminished after her parents separated. Her biological father, Su Jianming, and biological mother, Lin Xiurong, often cared about her. Their stepfather, Chen Weiguo, and stepmother, Wang Meilan, who reorganized the family, treated her as their own. Having grown up surrounded by love, she always longed for a stable and peaceful relationship. However, this simple expectation made her fall into an abyss. In her junior year of college, Su Xiaoning and Zhao Dayong got married. It was only after their marriage that she saw clearly the violence and control in each other. The domestic violence day after day tortured her all over. Her best friend Xia Ruonan felt sorry for her plight, so she stepped in to help her without hesitation and helped her escape from the suffocating prison. After being separated for several months, Xiaoning accidentally reunited with Zhou Chengyu, whom he had only met a few times in college. He is gentle and tolerant, and knows how to sympathize with her past scars. The two slowly come together and build a small family that belongs to each other. In a short period of time, Su Xiaoning experienced carefree happiness for the first time. She thought that all the suffering was over and that only warmth remained for the rest of her life. But Zhao Dayong accidentally bumped into her, who was bright and happy, and his narrow-minded jealousy grew crazily, and he was full of malicious revenge. He squatted secretly, seized the opportunity when Su Xiaoning went out alone, and took her life away with cruel hands. When Zhou Chengyu arrived, he only saw his lover who would never open his eyes again. The overwhelming grief almost crushed him. He endured despair and took Zhao Dayong to court, and the perpetrator was eventually imprisoned. After several years in prison, Zhao Dayong, who was released after serving his sentence, appeared in front of Zhou Chengyu again. The hatred accumulated for many years after losing his wife instantly overwhelmed his reason. On impulse, he accidentally beat Zhao Dayong to death. After waking up, looking at the mess all over the ground, Zhou Chengyu no longer had the slightest idea of survival. In his life, he finally found a beam of light that illuminated the rest of his life. After the light went out, he also chose to run into the abyss. Two short periods of joy and three fresh human lives prove in the end that hatred will only spawn endless tragedies, and hard-won happiness is often too fragile to be attacked. Purpose: To write about the short-lived rebirth of a domestically abused woman after escaping from the abyss, where vicious revenge tears all warmth apart, and through the tragic death of both the male and female protagonists, it warns that violence and revenge are both bottomless abyss, that life is precious, and that hatred can never dissolve the pain.
