The protagonists are Yu Ye and Ye Bai
Ye Bai was Yu Ye's companion. They couldn't be together because of their status, and Yu Ye didn't dare to express his feelings. After Ye Bai's relatives passed away, he fled Yu Mansion and was forced to tour by Yu Ye.
Later, Ye Bai gradually became numb and died peacefully under a plum tree. Yu Ye threw himself into the lake the next winter.
