As I squatted in the intertidal zone counting barnacles, I never imagined that the silent lighthouse watchman would offer me a cup of ginger tea.
But later on the typhoon night, the moment she grabbed my wrist, I suddenly understood - the sea cannot contain people, but I was willing to stay.
Because she said: It doesn't matter whether the lighthouse is on or not.
And my light has never been extinguished since the day I met her.
