Do you know what it is like when a person loses his light?
The Luck Desert is full of people like this. They once had lights between their brows—moon-white, blue-gray, various colors—and then they were taken away and thrown in to die. She lived there for seventeen years without a name and was called "the wild girl".
She thought she would be like that too. Until one day, she stretched out her hand and touched someone's forehead.
Light flowed from that person into her body. She has light, and the person is empty. She ran away.
She named herself Yu Wu Nian. Then she discovered that she could take away the light of others - those men with bright brows, those who were close to her, those who gave her cakes, taught her chess, wanted to study her, and made her almost not want to leave. One by one, she took away the light from their brows. Every time she took it, she climbed an inch higher.
What she didn't know was that every time she reached out, she was in a position calculated by others.
There was a voice in a place she didn't know said: Take it, take it away, and in the end she will find that she is just another person's light.
Who is she?
Do those men really love her, or are they just arranged pawns?
Is that thing between her eyebrows her life or someone else's bait?
Intention: Use "climb up" as a yardstick to measure the total price a person may pay on the road to pursuing his dream, and finally examine what is left when he reaches the top.
