The tower is made of bricks, and eight hundred years of wind and rain have left deep and shallow marks on it. A few dead grasses poked out from the cracks in the bricks, trembling slightly in the evening breeze. Some people say that the bottom of it is volcanic rock, and the rain washed the bedrock higher in the south and lower in the north, so it tilted. Some people also say that it was Qin Shihuang who dug the mountain and broke the veins, which vented the royal energy of Fangshan.
