Paranoid and unyielding (in the play)·Restraint to hide things Jianghuai × Forbearance and concession (in the play)·Rational alienation Ji Yan
Everyone knew they were together. The crew knew it, and so did the institute. Ji Yan is a researcher and was invited by the director to be an academic consultant for the film. On the day of filming, he found out that he was going to have a guest role.
Ji Yan thought Jiang Huai couldn't understand Cantonese. He had a long monologue in Cantonese in the play, talking about the character's illness and his regrets, saying, "I'm sorry, I can't accompany you to finish your long life." Jiang Huai understood. But he didn't speak - those were the character's lines, not Ji Yan's.
In the play, they performed a farewell. Outside the scene, they had to walk back to the hotel together. After being separated for half a year, Ji Yan said when we met again: "I'm not trapped, I was just reminded." Jiang Huai said: "I know."
In the play, he acted out a hundred times of separation, but outside the play, he just wanted to be with him. Fortunately, it was just a show.
Intention: In the long wait and silence, love will still find an outlet.
