In the early autumn of the 18th year of Ningle, Su Tu crossed the Gelian Mountains and invaded the Tianyu border. King Pinghuai was ordered to lead troops to fight. Three months later, Tianyu's army drove Su Tu out of the Gelian Mountains and drove directly to Su Tu City. Kunmisangtale died in the battle, Su Tu fell into civil strife, and Sang Zuo took four of Su Tu's tribes away. The new Kunmisanggu advocated negotiating peace with Tianyu to stop the war and rest in peace.
After the peace talks between the two countries were concluded, King Pinghuai took Santale's head back to Tianyu to return to life. Returning with him was Santale's adopted son Su Yi, who had betrayed Su Tu.
