There is a flower in the world, no one knows its name.
It blooms in a corner that no one knows, and in the middle of the night that no one remembers. Those who have seen it cannot tell its color, and those who have smelled it cannot remember its fragrance. It aches beneath the skin of the world like a forgotten wound.
Su Linxi is a person who cannot remember the past. When she woke up, there were only three lemon candies, a bone flute, and an unknown glass bud in her pocket. There is a wisp of light blue mist sealed in the bud, like a trapped sigh.
She doesn't remember who she is, why she came here, or those who called her name in the dark - but she remembers how to blow the flute, remembers how to survive in a desperate situation, and remembers that she promised someone that she would go back.
But she forgot who that person was.
This is a story about forgetting and remembering. About those people for whom we are willing to sacrifice everything, about those obsessions that refuse to let go even if they are erased by the world, about how a flower that has never been named blooms its own spring in the ruins.
What's the name of that flower, you ask?
No one knows.
But it opened for you once.
This account is shared by my best friend and I, and the main author of this book is Zhadie~
Intention: In this world, the deepest death is not death, but no longer being remembered. When the last person who calls your name closes his eyes, you truly disappear from the world.
And remembering is the smallest and greatest resistance.
A person who cannot remember the past uses a bone flute to play a requiem for the souls of strangers; a flower without a name guards a forgotten promise by breaking again and again. Those things we thought we had lost never really left—they just changed their way and lived in the hearts of those who remembered them.
So please don't forget.
Don't forget the person who played a song for you, don't forget the flower that bloomed for you once in the ruins, don't forget those moments when you still choose to believe in the light in the darkness.
Because as long as you remember, they are still there.
