Synopsis
Chen Rang originally thought that his grandfather was an ordinary retired teacher. Until his grandfather passed away, he found a notebook and a black disc engraved with ancient patterns among his belongings. The title page of the manuscript reads: "There are no ghosts in this world, only a group of ancients who have deceived you for thousands of years." There is a precise structure inside the disc, which is not from this era. When my grandfather was young, he went to a place called "Insect Valley" and brought this thing out, but it didn't make it to the end. Under the guidance of his grandfather's friend Wei Changhe, Chen Rang met three people one after another. Equation, an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, held another identical disc in his hand, and the two pieces fit together perfectly. Chen Dafeng, who grew up with Chen Rang, is dull but has an amazing sense of smell. He only listens to Chen Rang's words. There is also Yu Zangchen who is waiting for them at Yunnan Railway Station - he has lost his memory, has a strange sense of direction, has superior martial arts, has a crazy personality, and does things without caring. The four of them entered the Worm Valley together. There are regular stone chambers underground, glowing phosphorus lamps, and doors that require two discs to open. Grandpa has been here, more than once. He carved symbols into the walls and left messages in the bases. And deep beneath the ground, something keeps moving - and never stops. As he went deeper, Chen Rang discovered that his grandfather's "death" was a conspiracy. He was not dead, and he and Wei Changhe teamed up to set up this scene, just to let Chen Rang himself reach the end of this road. Because the truth is too serious, telling him face to face would be harmful to him. Behind him there is a force called the "Mausoleum Shouhui", as well as a bigger mystery - the Insect Valley, the Hanging Coffin, the Underground Palace, and the Guixu. The four locations are connected in a line, pointing to a secret that has been buried for thousands of years. It's metaphysical on the surface, but it's all human-made behind the scenes. The so-called gods, tombs, witchcraft, and mechanisms are all huge layouts set up by the ancients. And there is only one question to ask at the end of this road - Is the answer that grandpa hid worth spending his whole life in exchange for? Purpose: Using the setting of "all ghosts, gods, and sorcery are man-made", explore the "price of the truth" - do you have the courage to spend your life in exchange for the answer that may subvert everything? The core lies in "choice" and "commitment".
