On the first day when he transferred to high school for his sophomore year, Shen Tian stuffed a note written for himself into the desk - and stuffed it into the wrong door.
I received a reply the next day: "Thank you. I don't know who you are though."
So it became a habit. A note every day, ranging from "The weather is nice today" to "I have changed seven schools, and no one has known me for more than two years"; from "My mother said I am useless" to "I bet you will live a good life in the future."
They exchanged all their vulnerabilities and secrets, except their names.
In reality, Shen Tian sat quietly in the last row, next to Jiang Chi, the "school bully" who never talked to her. He sleeps, skips classes, and has a cold face, but he is as gentle as another person in the notes every day. She didn't dare think that it was him - because he was so close, yet it seemed like he was separated by the entire Milky Way.
Three hundred days later, the handover bell rang for the last subject of the college entrance examination. Shen Tian opened the classroom door and saw Jiang Chi standing in front of her desk with a stack of notes spread out in his hand. The top one had five words written on it:
"I like you. Anonymous."
He looked at her, his eyes smiling: "No longer anonymous."
They shared the same desk for three hundred days, but only saw each other on the last day.
Intention: The shortest distance in the world is not being together day and night, but being seen by you across a sea of people; the farthest distance is not the end of the world, it is me sitting next to you, but you don't know who I am.
